Psychology AQA Specification A provides an introduction to the scientific study of the brain and behaviour. Students explore theories / explanations of common behaviours that affect all of us e.g. how memory works, the importance of early experience, stress and mental health. Students look at gender and aggression as well as schizophrenia. Research Methods is a common theme throughout the course. The course allows students the opportunity to develop essential knowledge and understanding of psychological approaches and methods, applying a range of skills including discussion and analysis of the validity of theories

To study Psychology at A level you will need grade 5+ in GCSE English and 6+ in Mathematics and/Science
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
