This is a two year A Level course. This course will help you to think critically about why people behave as they do and allow you to question a number of different aspects of life and reflect on a number of examples that may be reported in the media or may be drawn from your own personal experience. You do not need to have studied Psychology at GCSE to take an A Level course in this subject. You will develop a range of skills useful not only to your academic performance and development, but also to your future career. Psychology is an applied subject which means that you will find that what you learn in class, you are able to apply to life outside of the classroom. You will be expected to have a good attendance and punctuality record, dedicate 4 hours of your time per week to background reading and complete all homework to be a successful AS Psychology student. Although you do not need to have studied Psychology at GCSE in this subject, it is important that you have an interest in Psychology and a desire to explore new ideas and concepts.
