Psychology is categorised as a science A level, so can be helpful for those wishing to go on to study a Bachelor of Science degree. Many students go on to study related degrees in one of the Social Sciences, including Psychology, Criminology, Sociology and Social Work. However, Psychology A level gives you a wide range of skills which would be of use in nearly all higher education courses. These include written communication,critical thinking, problem solving, investigation and numerical skills. These are also great skills to be able to offer an employer if you are thinking of going straight into employment after your A levels.

As well as the 5 A*-C grades that you need to enter the Sixth Form, you will need to have at least a grade C in GCSE English Language, Maths and Science. Having a grade B in Maths is preferred to allow you to access all the mathematical content within the course.
