Those with excellent written communication skills. ? Those who are comfortable with maths, particularly data analysis and statistics ? Those who enjoy approaching problems scientifically ? People who can accept that there are not always 'right' answers ? People who enjoy thinking for themselves, questioning and criticising what they read and hear ? People who are committed and can work hard without supervision Because this subject is not offered at GCSE, it is particularly important that students research their choice thoroughly, including attending courses evening and sample sessions, to ensure they are making an informed decision. A summer holiday research activity will be set to be handed in on your first lesson. This will help you to get a flavour of the subject before you are fully committed and it will help us get an early indication of your strengths and weaknesses. In brief the course will cover: Social Influence; Memory; Attachment & Psychopathology ? Approaches in Psychology; Biopsychology & Research Methods ? Issues & Debates in Psychology; Relationships; Eating Behaviour and Addiction

? Grade 6 in English Language or Literature ? Grade 5 in Maths ? Grade 4 in combined Science (or separate science) ? Minimum of two other subjects at Grade 4
