The course develops transferable skills which are valuable in any further study or future career. Psychology links to natural sciences, including biological, computer and forensic sciences as well as social sciences including sociology, politics, and economics, and humanities such as history, philosophy, literature and geography.Psychology can lead to careers in health, clinical, sport and educational psychology, but the insights into human behaviour and motivation are highly useful in any field which requires critical thinking and communication skills, including the commercial sector, criminal justice, medicine and education, among others. There are three written exams, consisting of structured and essay style questions. Each lasts 2 hours.

What you need to get on

Minimum of grade 6 in a facilitating subject; plus a minimum of grade 5 in either English; plus a minimum of grade 5 in maths GCSE

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
