This BTEC Extended Certificate is designed to support learners who are interested in learning about the Uniformed Protective Services sector. It gives them a broad basis of study, designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels. This course is particularly suitable if you are studying in preparation for employment in the Protective Services Sector, particularly in job roles where you will be expected to use physical fitness skills, research skills or carry out customer-facing operational roles. It offers skills for working in the public sector but also transferable skills for any type of employment. It is suitable if you are considering a police or military career, but also if you are interested in developing, maintaining and protecting our society. You will learn by providing evidence gathered from realistic workplace scenarios and activities. You will gain experience through a wide range of tasks, visiting speakers and visits.
