What you will learn: - Planting techniques for container-grown trees, shrubs, and perennials - How to identify plants using their botanical names - Assessing and improving soil texture and condition - Identifying common pests, diseases, and the damage they cause - Seasonal garden care and maintenance - Designing a basic garden layout and planting plan - Year-round lawn care practices - Propagation methods and techniques - Safe and effective use of horticultural tools, machinery, and equipment - Customer service skills, including offering advice and preparing quotes - Fundamentals of soil science Join us at Easton College to gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the horticulture industry. This course will run one day a week on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. The course will run for 22 weeks. What you need to get on
This course is open to applicants aged 19 and over. There are no specific prior achievements required to take this qualification, and you may or may not have had previous experience in horticulture. This qualification will allow you to develop and practise the skills required for employment and progression within the wide and varied horticulture sector.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
