What will I learn on this course? Year 12 is made up of two units. TechnicalPrinciples and Designing & Making. Design and Make task. Students have the opportunity to explore the possibilities of design in terms of prototyping and modelling. This project allows students to explore a product of their choice, in an innovative and creative way. Year 13 is made up of two units. Design, Make and Evaluate. Students will have the opportunity to design and manufacture a product in a chosen area of specialism, the project should take 45 hours to complete

What you need to get on

Course requirements At least a grade C in one or more of the following GCSE subjects: Design and Technology Food, Textiles, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Art and Design, along with the necessary work ethic and time commitment.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
