This course will appeal to students who: achieve a grade B or above in GCSE Product Design, a flair for design, a passion for learning and experimenting, an ability to work in groups and individually and an ability to complete further study outside the class.

What you need to get on

You need to have completed GCSE Product Design and acheived a grade 6 and also grade 5 or above in English and Maths. You should know the basics of product analysis and design be able to use the tools and equipment available in the workshops. An understanding of the working characteristics of materials is desirable as is the knowledge of CAD/CAM including use of 2d design and possibly Pro-Desktop.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
