This qualification will give you the knowledge and understanding needed to work with individuals with learning disabilities or difficulties. You will explore the principles of safeguarding and positive risk-taking and will also gain awareness of the autistic spectrum.

What you need to get on

For a funded/part funded course, you must be aged 19+ on 31 August 2024 and have been a UK resident for at least 3 years. You must complete an online induction, which includes online safety, before you begin a course with us. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, you may find it helpful if you’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification.
