Our accredited Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities is suitable for you, if you have an interest in, or are already working with people with learning disabilities in a variety of roles. The aim of the course is to give you the knowledge and understanding to work with individuals with learning disabilities or difficulties. You will explore the principles of safeguarding and positive risk taking and gain awareness of the autistic spectrum. This qualification will prepare you for employment and support you in your role in the workplace, where you may work or interact with people with learning disabilities. The knowledge gained by completing this qualification may also be useful to you if you work in education or housing support roles.

What you need to get on

Prior to starting the course, you will be required to complete a brief initial assessment and an online meeting with the tutor. This will help us understand your current starting point and allow us to tailor the course to meet your specific needs.
