This course forms part of the Moving Out of Supported Learning programme and is designed to further develop learners independence and work-related skills. The programme encourages learners to build self-advocacy skills, increase their confidence and develop greater independence in preparation for life beyond college. Learners are supported to commit to and complete work experience placements, helping them gain valuable community and workplace experience while planning for their future goals. The course also supports the development of social skills, communication and personal responsibility, all of which are important for future progression.

What you need to get on

To join this course, learners must be aged 16 to 24 and have an Education, Health and Care Plan. This course is designed for learners who are ready to build on the skills and knowledge they have developed at college and begin preparing for greater independence, community engagement and future progression.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
