You’ll learn the essential skills for the workplace as well as develop your interpersonal skillset. As part of this course, you’ll have the opportunity to plan, explore and run enterprise projects within Totton College, focussing on developing your communication, maths and work skills. Who is this course for? For students who want to learn and improve the skills they need for work and learn how to make meaningful choices. Entry requirements No formal qualifications are required and we’ll discuss your individual needs at interview. How you will be assessed You will be assessed through a combination of portfolio evidence, practical tasks and statements from teachers. How to apply Skills for Life is a dedicated SEND specialist department for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Our Skills for Life team supports students throughout their academic journey, preparing them for adulthood, employment and/or independent living. Our courses are suitable for students with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP). Courses are discussed during the application and enrolment process and are progression routes are reviewed as part of the annual review process each year. When deciding on the right course for the student, we consider the students’ prior qualifications and courses, academic ability, and social skills.
