What the college says
Politics is the study of how democratic systems both in this country and aboard operate as well as how they have evolved. It also considers how people interact with these institutions. The study of this subject also involves an investigation into the political behavior of individuals and groups both those who have power and those who merely participate in the system. The study of Politics will also encompass the study of a number of political ideologies and thinkers, a new requirement at A Level and this will act as an introduction to political philosophy for those students wishing to move into this field at higher education level.
