Plumbers fit, service and repair hot and cold water systems, and heating systems in homes and businesses. They also work with gas fires and cookers. If you want a varied job that makes good use of your practical skills and takes you out and about, this could be perfect for you. You will need to be good at solving problems, have the ability to follow technical plans, and understand the importance of health and safety. You'll also need good customer care skills. No formal qualifications? Or did you just miss out on a GCSE Maths or English C grade? Don't worry, we offer free qualifications in maths and English to those who have no formal qualifications and want to begin to achieve some. These are flexible courses offered on various days and evenings, aimed at people of any age or ability.
What you need to get on
Two GCSEs at grade A* to E preferably English and maths Plus English grade 2 or above OR successful interview with an initial assessment in English and maths at Entry Level 3 or above +Successful BPEC assessment.
