This full-time qualification is aimed at those wanting to enter the Plumbing industry. It gives you the opportunity to pick up some core skills and knowledge and the opportunity to progress onto our Level 2 Plumbing or Level 2 Building Services Engineering qualifications.The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the skills required within the plumbing sector. You will cover the fundamental aspects of plumbing such as hot water, cold water, sanitation and central heating, alongside more in-depth and specialist modules, all of which will prepare you fully for the world of work.You will work closely with local employers who will deliver your training and will contribute to the knowledge and skills you gain. These employers will also give you demonstrations and talks on the industry and where possible, relevant work placements.This practically based training is ideal preparation for gaining employment in the plumbing industry or specialist further study.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs Grade C or above, including maths and English at Grade C (4). It is expected that the applicant will have a genuine interest in the industry and each applicant will be required to attend an interview to ascertain his/her suitability for the course as well as take a short aptitude test.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
