Physicists seek explanation for natural phenomena. This course will suit you if you want to find out how the world around us works, how different systems interact and what fundamental underlying principles govern these interactions. You will need a competent level of English and Maths. It helps if you study AS level Maths but it is not a requirement. To achieve high grades in this course you will need to be hard working and be willing to read around the subject.
What you need to get on
To take 3 A Levels at Allerton Grange you are required to have a minimum of 5 GCSE subjects at grade 4 and above. Physics Maths grade 5 or above in higher paper and English Language grade 4 or above. Physics grade 6 or above or Combined Science grade 6:6.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
