Physics is an interesting and rewarding subject, but one that requires commitment. This is a challenging course and should not be undertaken half-heartedly. High grades can be obtained if you are diligent and have the ability to use reasoning rather than rote learning. It is highly recommended that you study A Level Maths alongside Physics.

What you need to get on

At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5. A grade 6/6 or above in Double Science is essential and a grade 6 in Maths. If taking separate sciences, one of the 6s must be Physics. You should take Maths A Level alongside this subject.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
