Physics will give an excellent foundation in the skills of planning, observation, analysis and evaluation. It will provide an understanding of fundamental physical processes, which are the basis of modern science, technology and engineering. The study of Physics will give opportunities to apply ideas to both familiar and unfamiliar situations, using creative problem solving skills. What you will do: • Study forces, motion, particles, waves, fields, energy • Develop experimental skills • Apply scientific knowledge to plan and carry out experiments • Analyse and evaluate data • Develop key skills in problem solving, communication, and application of number • Carry out projects on related areas of study. Future prospects: • Medical Sciences • Engineering • Information Technology • Architecture • Telecommunications In addition a Physics degree will allow you to pursue other non-scientific career paths, e.g. in business and commerce, marketing and law.

Grade 6 or above in GCSE Physics and grade 6 or above in GCSE Mathematics or Grades 6-6 or above in GCSE Double Science and grade 6 or above in GCSE Mathematics
