The course builds upon GCSE Physics to explore in more detail topics like force, materials, particles, electricity, simple harmonic motion and fields. There is also an option during year 13 to chose to study in more detail things like medical physics, astrophysics, engineering physics, turning points in Physics or electronics.

What you need to get on

All students intending to take A-Levels at Bosworth Academy will be expected to have at least grade 5 in both GCSE English Language and Maths as well as 3 other GCSEs at grade 5 or equivalent. Students studying GCSE Combined Science need to have achieved a minimum Grade 6-6. Students studying GCSE Separate sciences need at least two Grade 6s and a level 5 (with one of the 6s being in Physics). Students also need to have achieved a Grade 6 in Maths.
