A Physics qualification proves that a student can think logically, understand complex ideas and apply them to the real world, employers actively seek out such people. For a career in Science, Medicine, Education, Business, Engineering or a host of other fields, Physics can give students a real edge. What does the course involve? The 1 year AS course content is split into 4 teaching modules: Module 1 – Development of Practical Skills in Physics Module 2 – Foundation in Physics Module 3 – Forces and Motion Module 4 – Electrons, Waves and Photons The A Level 2 year course requires a further 2 units of study, these are: MODULE 5: Newtonian World and Astrophysics MODULE 6: Particle and Medical Physics Students should be prepared for plenty of demanding numerate work, but also be prepared to enter enthusiastically into practical work, as well as all assigned homework. What you need to get on

GCSE Grade B in Science and Additional Science or Grade B in GCSE Physics. GCSE Grade 5 in Maths and English also required. ALL students are expected to study A Level Mathematics.
