We believe that physics is fundamentally an experimental subject and hence you will be conducting a wide range of practical work alongside theory. The physics department is extremely well equipped and you will be taught by dedicated and enthusiastic teachers who will ensure you fulfil your potential.

What you need to get on

Entry to Hinchley Wood Sixth Form is dependent on achieving 7 GCSE passes, comprising level 9 - 4 grades. A minimum of grade 4 is required in English; as well as a Grade 6 in GCSE Physics and a 6 in one other Science GCSE. Or Grade 6-6 in Combined Science. Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics. However, a Grade 5 in Maths will be considered.

How you are assessed
