A Level Physics involves you attempting to understand the world around you. You will find out how 3D glasses work, why fluorescent materials look brighter, how we have our own wavelength, what superconductors are used for and the amazing way that forces work to keep us alive! You will learn to apply Physics concepts to practical problem solving. Theory is developed through a large variety of practical experiences and demonstrations.

What you need to get on

GCSE Physics Grade 6 or Combined Science (Trilogy) Grade 6-6. Plus GCSE Mathematics Grade 6. If you are planning on studying more than one Science at A Level, we recommend that you have Grade 7's in these at GCSE. Combines well with Mathematics, Chemistry

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
