What the college says
Physics is a modern and highly relevant qualification in a subject which can open doors to a huge range of further study and professions. It seeks to explain the entirety of nature from the workings of the smallest particles which make up everything to the universe on the largest scales imaginable. On the way it will stimulate and challenge in equal measure, making you question the nature of reality around us. The subject will develop a wide range of highly transferrable skills including problem solving, numeracy, creativity and resilience.
What you need to get on
The entry requirements are a minimum of a grade 6 at GCSE Physics or a grade 7,7 or 7,6 in double science. A minimum of a grade 6 in Maths is also required.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
