The PE A Level encourages a holistic understanding of PE. The qualifications will further develop students understanding of how the mind and body works in relation to performance in physical sport whilst also engaging with key issues and themes relating to contemporary global influences on physical education and sport.

What you need to get on

General entry requirements: Grade 4 in English Language and Maths together with 3 other GCSE grades at grade 4 or above is the minimum requirement to enter Hillview Sixth Form. SUBJECT SPECIFIC ENTRANCE CRITERIA GCSE PE (or Equivalent*) Grade 6 or above in addition to a Grade 6 or above in Science and/or Maths. An APS of 4.75 or above. *High level performance in a sport will also be considered.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
