The GCSE Photography course provides an exciting opportunity for students to explore their creativity and develop technical expertise in photography. By combining hands-on traditional techniques, such as sun prints and photograms with modern digital photographic skills, this course fosters artistic expression and nurtures practical skills. Students will also engage in location-based shoots, including class photoshoot trips to Brighton Seafront and in and around the North Laine, to capture dynamic imagery that showcases their personal perspective. The course encourages personal exploration and culminates in a portfolio showcasing their individual creativity.

Standard Foundation Level entry requirements Plus: Grade 3 in GCSE Art, Graphics, Photography or Textiles (if taken) Or Provide a portfolio of your art/design/photography work at interview

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
