Working on a series of briefs this course will encourage you to develop your skills, creativity, imagination and independence based on personal experience and a variety of taught skills. You will work from our purpose-built Photography room with professional lighting and dark room to experiment with pushing the boundaries of photography techniques. In the second year you will set yourself a Personal Investigation (coursework) to examine using visual and written methods.

What you need to get on

Standard entry requirements: Maths and English Language at a grade 4. Based on Attainment 8 scores we will offer the following pathways: Vocational Pathway (selecting only Vocational Courses): 40, Combination Pathway (selecting a mixture of A Level and Vocational): 45, A Level Pathway (selecting only A Levels): 50. Subject specific requirements: A grade 5 in an Art & Design GCSE and a grade 5 or above in English.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
