The course is based around issues and questions that are important and relevant to today's society. There are no obvious answers to these questions and students will examine alternative solutions, which will help them to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of different arguments.

What you need to get on

Students will achieve a minimum of 40 points from their best 8 GCSE subjects including minimum grade 4 in English Language and Maths. Students must achieve a minimum grade B/6 in any subject they wish to study at A Level.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
