The Performing Arts course is designed for those students who want to explore the performance industry in more depth, in terms of the work available, how to network, audition and survive in this most competitive of industries. Students will explore freelance and contract based work, as well as preparing for projects and performances. There is practical work involved, in terms of workshop based classes to help refine your skills. This is a particularly useful course for those wanting to explore the varied roles within the industry, not simply performance.
What you need to get on
A minimum of 5 passes (grade 4 or above) at GCSE, including in both English and Maths (not including Level 2 vocational qualifications).
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
