What the college says
Applied Science is a flexible and stimulating course which is designed to reflect individual interests and career aspirations. The course consists of units covering topics across Physics, Chemistry and Biology and there is an emphasis on practical investigative work. Students will have a wide range of learning experiences, including many practicals which include using a wide variety of scientific skill and techniques. One practical involves producing a sample of aspirin, purifying it and testing its purity using melting point apparatus.
