This course is perfect if you've got a passion for painting and decorating and want to get to grips with what's involved in a job in the industry, either as an employee or as a self-employed painter and decorator.

What you need to get on

You'll need 4 GCSEs at grades 3-1 (D-G), including English Language and Maths at grade 3-1 (D-G), or a relevant Entry 3 vocational qualification. With this you will be asked to sit an initial assessment and this must show that you are ready to study English and Maths at Level 1. If your results are lower than this, don't worry, we'll find the right course for you.
