What the college says
This AS Level in Economics comprises two components: Microeconomics (H060/01) which looks at microeconomic theory, how competitive markets work, why and how markets fail and whether or not governments should intervene and if so how externalities might be addressed. This is a 1 hour and 30 minutes written paper and makes up 50% of AS Level. Macroeconomics (H060/02) which looks at macroeconomy functions on a national and international level, considers government's economic objectives and the policies available, and its effects on the macroeconomy. This is a 1 hour and 30 minutes written paper and makes up 50% of AS Level.

To attain 6 GCSE grades 9 to 4 to include English Grade C and Grade 6 or higher in Maths
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
