Functional Skills mathematics qualifications will enable you to gain confidence and fluency in maths as well as a positive attitude towards the subject. It will allow you to develop behaviours such as persistence and logical thinking as you apply mathematical tools and approaches to everyday situations. The qualification will equip you with the functional skills required for day-to day life, education and work. The aim of the qualification is to give you the opportunity to: • develop an understanding of Functional Skills mathematics at Entry Level • develop their skills and competences in mathematics • achieve a nationally recognised qualification • prepare for employment • progress to further study
