The course is a study of the performing arts disciplines of drama, dance, music and production. Learners will gain an insight into the performing arts industry and develop a range of skills and techniques for working in this industry. Learners can specialise in an individual discipline or explore all three art forms
What you need to get on
Learners should have recently been in education and to have either a BTEC Level 1 qualification in Performing Arts or related vocational area, or a standard of literacy and numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to four GCSEs at grade D or above, or other related Level 1 qualifications/work experience in a relevant field
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
