What the college says
This course is designed for those who have gained employment in the Construction sector, carrying out plumbing and heating activity. This qualification will be supported through skills development and learning in the college environment. Achievement will be gained in the real workplace environment. Successful completion of this qualification will enable you, to recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrate your competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of a Plumber within the construction industry.
What you need to get on
It is recommended that you hold GCSE grades 4 and above in English, Mathematics and Science. Where these are not in place it is required that you can evidence working towards level 2 in a BKSB assessment.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
