Have circumstances left you unemployed and you feel a need to choose a new direction/industry? Would you like to explore other careers you could engage with, including the green sector? Are you planning to go back to paid work after some time? Are you wondering if volunteering might be the next step for you? Are you looking for a new challenge in your career? To start over can seem daunting, and it might be difficult to know where to begin. Being in control of a career, new start, or shift in role is perfectly possible, but you need to plan carefully and be prepared to put in time and effort. This course offers you the support and toolkit to make this possible. This course is one day a week, over 6 weeks. Achieving this course will earn you a Level 1 Award in Skills for Employment, and we will include the following units: - Exploring Job Opportunities - Understanding what volunteering is all about - Developing personal confidence and self-awareness - CV writing - Preparing for interviews

What you need to get on

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date. You will also have an interview before the start of the course.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
