What the college says
The course is delivered 1-2 evenings per week. Learners will study a total of 120 hours and three units to gain a total of 16 credits. Practical and theoretical tasks will be covered in sessions and will lead to projects enabling learners to explore taking and manipulating images. Use of the college's VLE (Moodle 2) will allow learners to revisit work and communicate with the tutor and peers.
What you need to get on
3 GCSEs with grades 3 or above (including Maths and English) Entry onto any course at East Durham College is subject to final approval from the Assistant Principal. Where relevant, the term ‘entry requirements’ also includes DBS checks, references, fitness to practice, etc.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
