This course is designed to give learners a beginner's insight into Early Years and Education Development, giving learners the opportunity to adjust to college life while learning vital skills for practice and academia.

What you need to get on

You will need a Grade 2 in English and Maths or to have already completed our Level 1 course. To complete the placement aspect of this course, you will be required to complete an enhanced disclosure DBS check. We will contact you prior to enrolment to arrange this check. Please do not purchase your DBS through an external company as external DBS checks may not be accepted by us or our placement settings.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
