This course is designed for students who are interested in working with children aged 0-7yr 11 months. It reflects the latest developments and approaches within the early years sector. The course aims to prepare students to work competently, safely and effectively and gain essential knowledge and skills to support progression into the next stage of education or into employment. This qualification prepares you to work unsupervised or in a supervisory capacity with children and their families in a variety of settings which could include nurseries, children centres, home-based child care pre-schools or schools. The course requires students to spend two days per week on placement.
