NCFE CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma for Working in The Early Years Sector This qualification is designed to prepare learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding to enter work in an early year setting and be included in staff to child ratios. The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to become early years educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to five years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification, it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as early years educators and be included in staff to child ratios.
What you need to get on
Four GCSE Grade 4 and above, including English and maths. We would also accept a 4 in English and 3 in math,s and two other subjects above Grade 4
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Not on the Section 96 list, but a school or college runs it full time, so check the age range with them.
