Do you want to get into Sports Coaching, Physical Education or Sports Development Related studies? Do you enjoy the science behind sports as well as playing? If so, this course is for you. This course is ideal if you want to apply to university. This course is more theory based and is best for those who excel in sciences and want to learn how sport and science combine to enhance athletic performance. This programme is the equivalent to three A-levels and requires the students to undertake a total of 13 units across two years of study. Alongside the BTEC course, you will also study a variety of ‘extras’ to ensure that you graduate from this course with some essential knowledge and skills needed for working within the sector. The ‘extra’ courses that you will study are; First Aid Qualification, The FA Safeguarding 'For All' course, and The FA Sudden Cardiac Arrest course. During this course, you’ll learn: Sport and Exercise Physiology Functional Anatomy Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology Field and Laboratory-based Fitness Testing Coaching for Performance and Fitness Nutrition for Sport and Exercise Performance Applied Research Methods in Sport and Exercise Science
