This course is designed for students who have a strong interest in the study of moving image productions such as Film or TV. You will have the opportunity to develop your practical production skills along with gaining experience in the planning and research which takes place in pre-production. Additionally, you will develop the production era skills needed to film for TV and film, including camerawork, lighting, production design, and sound. As well as post-production skills such as editing, motion graphics, sound effects, and evaluation skills needed in post-production. In addition to these skills, the course provides you with the skills needed to critically evaluate your work, in order to produce the best possible production.

What you need to get on

There are no subject specific entry requirements. Students need to have an average point score of 3.6. Studying Media at a GCSE level is desirable, but is not essential.
