This is a broadly balanced course which seeks to incorporate all elements of music: performance, composition, history and analysis and aural work. You need to play an instrument or sing to at least grade 5 standard and grade 5 theory is essential.

What you need to get on

Music GCSE Grade 5 and minimum Grade 5 standard on an instrument or in singing. Grade 5 theory would be an advantage, but is not essential.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
