Music A Level is a stimulating and challenging course for musicians who want to have a deeper understanding of the processes and features of music. Students will be stretched in all areas of their musical understanding including performing, composing and listening/understanding. This course can lead to the study of music at university; a career in performing arts or music industry; teacher, recording, session musician; composer.
What you need to get on
6 in Music 5 in English Grade 5 music theory level Grade 4-5 in instrument or singing at the start of the course. Must be able to read standard musical notation
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
