The course is designed to continue and extend the practices established in GCSE. It is based on actual experiences and involvement in the activities of Listening, Composing and Performing, combined with studies of set works and Compositional techniques. Commitment to, and involvement in, extra-curricular musical activities is expected. These include Senior Orchestra, Senior Choir, A Cappella Choir, String Ensemble, Jazz Band, Flute Choir and occasional combined concerts with other establishments.
