Music students are taught in small groups with plenty of opportunity for individual help. Ensemble activities form a key part of learning, not only to improve instrumental and vocal skills, but to improve aural skills and to inspire younger students. All A-level music students are also offered a music scholarship for their main instrument. These lessons are provided by our peripatetic team of music professionals and are worth around �900 over the duration of the course. Sixth Formers also lead extracurricular groups provided by LRGS Music, as well as occasionally helping with curriculum music projects. This year 6th formers lead the Chamber choir and have set up many ensembles which play out and around Lancaster. There are many different opportunities to take part in, from the Jazz Orchestra and Big Band to the choirs and orchestras and the Joint Musical each year
