Do you love classical music and want to learn more? Join Janet Oates and fellow classical music enthusiasts to delve into the works of various composers. Each term we'll focus on a different composer or topic in classical music, examining famous and lesser-known pieces, and discussing their lasting impact on music today. In the 8-week Spring course, we'll explore the music of Beethoven in all its varied guises, from the most famous works to the less familiar. In the summer we�ll approach Stravinsky, demystifying his music and learning how to appreciate this influential composer.

What you need to get on

You must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date. A reasonable level of English is required to participate in discussions. No previous knowledge of music is needed.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
