A Level Music offers students the opportunity to investigate, analyse and evaluate music and its features. By using practical methods, students are encouraged to take a more holistic view of their knowledge, performance and compositional skills. The set works enable students to conduct in-depth studies into different musical styles and genres, and place these within a wider context. The course is perfect for students of any musical background who wish to develop their understanding of a broad range of musical styles.

What you need to get on

Standard entry requirements: Maths and English Language at a grade 4. Based on Attainment 8 scores we will offer the following pathways: Vocational Pathway (selecting only Vocational Courses): 40, Combination Pathway (selecting a mixture of A Level and Vocational): 45, A Level Pathway (selecting only A Levels): 50. Subject specific requirements: A grade 6 in GCSE Music or AB grade 5 in Performing and Theory.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
