This is an exciting course for anyone who has a keen interest in creating and listening to different styles of music and who wishes to broaden their experience and deepen their understanding of both live and recorded music. You will improve your skills in performing and composing in a range of styles. You will listen to a wide variety of music and develop a more informed appreciation of how and why it was written and/or performed.

What you need to get on

Students would normally be expected to have achieved a minimum grade of B in GCSE Additional Science or a B in GCSE Chemistry and ideally a B in GCSE Maths. Chemistry has a large amount of mathematical content. Applied Science GCSE is not a suitable preparation for A Level Chemistry.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
