There are a number of reasons why music is an excellent subject choice at A-level: Music enables us to experience, share, and express feelings; it provides an aesthetic experience; music training has been linked with an increased ability to understand things that evolve over time and the relationship between objects - a complimentary subject to mathematics and the sciences; music augments memory, improves critical reading and writing and boosting creative thinking. Beyond the academic, music in practice develops concentration, promotes motor development, improves hand-eye coordination, facilitates social skills and develops confidence.
